Accent on the Bible Becomes
A LIVE Radio Show!
Accent on the Bible with Pastor Phil Butler will be starting a new chapter in 2020 as a LIVE radio program and hopes to continue to grow. With lots of prayer and support from our listeners we hope to continue to spread the Word of God and have more listener interaction so that we can accent the Bible to our listeners. We hope to also use the platform to answer questions regarding current news and events from the perspective of God’s Word. Pastor Phil Butler has been a pastor since 1981, has also worked as a painter, farm laborer, truck driver, and school bus driver. He speaks in a manner that is easy to understand and concise. Pastor Phil considers himself to be a “country preacher” and takes the same approach on his podcasts and hopes to bring the same style to his new radio format.
Accent on the Bible as a podcast will release the last episode on December 26th, 2019.
All episodes however will be available here on our website.
We also will feature a podcast episode during each live radio show. Our Podcast provider PodBean will stop carrying our podcast in mid-January. This will also mean other podcast sites we are listed on such as iTunes, iHeartRadio, Stitcher and others will stop playing then as well.
Our live radio show will still be titled “Accent on the Bible” and will launch in January 2020. Please check back here for specific dates which will be announced in the next month. The show will be aired Live here on PastorPhilButler.com with show recordings uploaded and available shortly after each airing.
In this new radio format, Pastor Phil will be joined by co-host and engineer Odie Lofton Sr.
Odie Lofton works for a local TV station as a Technical Engineer. Odie has a degree in Broadcast Communications from Iowa Central. Odie has worked in the broadcast industry for 6 years. He previously owned his own internet radio station Mix Country 106. His experience ranges from on air talent to engineering. He also has a background in web development and telecommunications with an emphasis in Marketing. Odie who is a Christ follower himself hopes to add perspective to the conversation and of course run the technical end of the show. He’ll also aid in the social media aspect of the show with questions from listeners.
Both Pastor Phil and Odie hope to present a show that is engaging and inspiring. It would truly be a blessing to see this show draw more people closer to Jesus Christ and to see new believers come to Christ as a result of the show.
Again, we’ll have more details in the coming weeks with the date of our first episode, show duration and ways to engage with social media to be a part of the show yourself.
In His service,
Pastor Phil Butler & Odie Lofton Sr.
